I haven’t been taking much photos lately. Mainly because of the uninspiring winter season in Sweden. So I decided to post some pictures from last year that I haven’t published before. The order of context is totally random.
An early morning in december by the woods at my parents home.
Love the mist. Great shots.
Finally I managed to get a few new photos up. It’s quite busy times for me right now. Hopefully I’ll be able to post more during summer. The photos below are taken by my parents home in Sweden. They have these beautiful sheeps that roams around in the forest nearby.
Hi Nilson! I am a beginner photographer who tries to learn new stuff. Please, would you mind telling me what camera or setting was used taking these gorgeous pictures?
Many thanks!
Thank you very much! :) The camera I use right now is a Canon 6D. The images above were taken with a Canon lens 85mm 1.8.
Let me know if you have questions!
best,
Jonas
I Feel the comfort and warmth
Thanks a lot! :D
Summer has been great so far in Sweden. But right now it’s very warm and humid. Some cooling rain actually comes as a relief. I thought it was a good opportunity to try a different approach to exposure on my photos. I usually go for a light feeling so this felt like a pleasant change of pace.
I decided to open a new site called Cupcake (www.cupcake.nilssonlee.se) – a treat from me as a photographer. All the images on Cupcake are licensed under the Creative Commons license CC0, which means that you are free to use the images without any costs. You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking for permission. Although, you’re more than welcome to let me know if you use images for a website, illustration or whatever, it’s inspiring to see the results. Note that all images at my professional portfolio www.nilssonlee.se (where you are right now) are still copyrighted. Only images at www.cupcake.nilssonlee.se are licensed under CC0.
I started my summer vacation by going on a road trip with Jon and Johan, two stand-up guys that I share my interest in photography with. We went to a place called Gäddede in Jämtland, Sweden. We spent our time fishing and exploring the amazing nature. It really was a proper getaway, and without any cellphone reception it took our minds of the day-to-day routines back home. Check out the awesome video that Johan made at the end of this post.
Hey. These are a great set of photos, tell a really nice story. Especially like the tones. Would love you know how you achieve the vintage matt effect!? Thanks, Leon
@Leaon: Thank you! The effect your referring to is created in Photoshop in this case. It can be done in a lot of different ways. More specifically I used a levels layer and pulled the two black markers towards the the whites. I’m not sure if that’s understandable, let me know otherwise :)
This weekend I visited the Noa Festival, a small music festival on the beach of Falsterbo, in the south of Sweden. Although the festival really deserved a bigger audience I had an amazing time together with some wonderful newfound friends. A luxurious experience built by beautiful scenery and good company. I forgot to bring my DSLR so I snapped a few pictures with my iPhone.
On the 9th of january Magine arranged an art hack where the artists Cilla Ramnek, Max & Sebastian and Anna Åstrand created contemporary art during 12 hours using old set-top boxes.
